3 days in Cappadocia (Part II)

Day 2

Like I said in my previous post, it's necessary to go around Cappadocia by tour. We decided to take the Green Tour for our second day. Me and my friend asked about the Green Tour price from 5 different travel agencies and most of them cost 135TL. Alhamdulillah since we are able to speak turkish so we negotiated with them and got the student price for 90TL. Oh, the entrance fee and lunch are included too.

We booked our Green Tour from Red River Travel Agency. The 16-seat van picked us up at the hotel around 9.45p.m. We went around and stopped at a few hotels to pick up the others. Our group tour was a total fun! I really felt like I have been friends with them for a long time lol. Our group consisted of me and my Korean friend, then there were 3 Turkish couple, a solo traveller Mexican girl, a young couple from Kosovo and a hotel owner from Zanzibar. They were really cool and treated us like their younger sisters xD

During this tour, we went to 6 different places which are Goreme Panorama, Derinkuyu Underground City, Ihlara Valley, Ala Church, Pigeon Valley and Onyx Jewellery. Our tour guide was a Turkish man who can speak English fluently and during the tour, he explained in Turkish and English.

Goreme Panorama

Derinkuyu Underground City

Pigeon Valley

At 6p.m., we finished our tour and they dropped us off at our hotel. My friend and I agreed that the tour couldn't have gone better. It was truly amazing. We met new people, and we didn't feel rushed or bored during the tour.

Day 3

Our last day in Cappadocia. We had to check out from our hotel at 11a.m. but we still can leave our baggage at the lobby. So we packed up everything, had our breakfast and gone for our last activity in Cappadocia. I've been thinking whether to go or not to this ATV tour because for me it's quite expensive. Normal price for a 2 hour ATV tour is 130TL and some offered for 100TL. But we were lucky enough the Red River Travel offered us the 2 hour ATV tour for 80TL.

Before we go for this ATV tour, we had our lunch at the most recommended restaurants in Goreme which is the Nazar Borek Cafe. This restaurant has the cheapest price in Goreme and the foods are amazing. We had lil chit chat with the owner and he said he grew all the vegetables by himself. Make sure if you go to Goreme do come to his restaurant, Nazar Borek Cafe.

Tavuk Sis and Gozleme

All full and set up, me and my friend, just the two of us, went for our ATV tour. We had a guide that brought us to a few places in Goreme. The best thing about this tour is to bike the ATV itself. But after you come back from the tour your clothes and shoes will be covered with sand!

Our guide, Necati Bey

Here we gooo!!

We had our bus back to Bursa at 6p.m. from Goreme Otogarı. We took Metro firm and the fare was 65TL. 5TL cheaper than Kamil Koc but it wasn't a very pleasant journey. We kinda regretted taking Metro. Anyway, we learned something, maybe we'll not take this firm anymore.

That's how our journey ends. Thanks for reading guys! Do comment and ask me if you have any enquiries.
